MCU’s Fantastic Four Actor Speaks Out On Casting Concerns

by Barbara

Paul Walter Hauser has revealed his initial reservations about joining the cast of Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated The Fantastic Four reboot. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige first hinted at the development of The Fantastic Four in 2019, but the first casting announcements weren’t made until February 14, 2024. The upcoming Phase 5 film will feature Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the iconic superhero team, with the movie slated for a July 2025 release.

In May 2024, Golden Globe and Emmy-winning actor Paul Walter Hauser was announced as a new addition to the cast in a yet-to-be-disclosed role. Hauser, acclaimed for his performance as serial killer Larry Hall in the Apple TV+ series Black Bird, shared his initial hesitations about joining the project in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. He admitted that the Fantastic Four “has not fully been nailed just yet.” However, Hauser’s concerns were eased by the film’s exceptional cast, dedicated department heads, and committed director, Matt Shakman.
