At a promotional event for laundry detergent, actress Lin candidly shared insights into her family life, revealing that she has no plans for a second child.
“My daughter is already seven years old, and I no longer consider the possibility of having another child,” Lin remarked.
She described her daughter’s growing stubbornness, which often leads to arguments and tears. Despite the challenges, Lin emphasized the deep bond she shares with her child.
Responding to Divorce Rumors
During the event, Lin was asked about the rumored divorce of colleagues Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen. Lin declined to comment, stating, “I am just like everyone else, learning about it through the news. Please refrain from asking me about this.”
However, Lin did mention seeing Michelle Chen and her daughter during a recent Lunar New Year celebration, noting that Chen Xiao was not present.
Juggling Family and Career
Lin shared that she has taken on the primary caregiving responsibilities for her daughter in Taiwan as her husband, Huo, has returned to acting after a three-year hiatus following his last series “Light the Night.”
In addition to her caregiving duties, Lin is preparing for a new film set to release at the end of the year. While she will not be acting in the film, she will serve as a producer.
A Storied Career
Lin, 48, made her acting debut in 1995 with a minor role and quickly rose to fame with her portrayal of Xia Ziwei in the TV series “My Fair Princess.” In 2009, she founded her own studio, producing numerous TV dramas and films.
Huo, 45, started his entertainment career at 17 as an assistant to Taiwanese TV host Sam Tseng. He gained prominence with the 2003 TV drama “At Dolphin Bay.”
The couple married in 2016, holding ceremonies in both Bali and Taipei, and welcomed their daughter in 2017.
