Anderson County authorities have reported the arrest of two women following a notable incident involving the theft of a Barbie doll collection valued at $10,000.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Felicia Houser allegedly staked out a double-wide trailer on Echo Circle, awaiting the homeowner’s return to negotiate a deal. However, Houser purportedly proceeded to break into the residence and began loading her truck with Holiday Barbie collectibles, still in their plastic packaging, deputies stated.
Upon the homeowner’s unexpected return and witnessing the burglary in progress, law enforcement was promptly contacted. Houser reportedly fled the scene in a black Yukon, according to deputies.
Authorities detained Erin Duncan, who was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine during the investigation.
After a period on the run, officials located and apprehended Houser. The stolen Holiday Barbies were recovered from the Yukon, along with a baseball collection and packages of raw meat. Despite initial skepticism regarding the dolls’ reported value, law enforcement confirmed their estimated worth of $10,000.
Felicia Houser faces charges including grand larceny, burglary, and malicious injury, while Erin Duncan faces charges related to possession of methamphetamine.
Initially implicated in the theft, Duncan’s involvement in the burglary remains under investigation as deputies seek additional information.
