Loni Love expressed her sorrow on Monday, stating, “I am sad to confirm my friend and fellow actress Erica Ash’s passing. Erica was talented and hilarious whether it was the show Survivor’s Remorse or Madtv she would put her all into her work. She would always just be there.. now she’s gone.. My sincere condolences to her family and fans.”
Erica Ash was widely recognized for her roles on “The Big Gay Sketch Show” and “MADtv,” along with notable performances in films such as “Uncle Drew” and “Outlaw Johnny Black.” She shared the screen with prominent figures including Kevin Hart, Shaquille O’Neal, Keegan-Michael Key, and Usher.
After earning a pre-medicine degree from Emory University, Ash ventured to Japan where she pursued opportunities as a backup singer and runway model. This experience ultimately ignited her passion for entertainment, leading her to a successful acting career, as detailed on her website.
