Megan Fox is set to deliver one of her most intriguing performances to date in the upcoming film Subservience. The official trailer and poster for the film have been released, showcasing Fox in a role unlike any she has played before.
Subservience is scheduled to premiere on digital and on-demand platforms on September 13, 2024. The film, produced by XYZ Films, features Fox as Alice, a lifelike android designed to assist a family in distress. However, similar to the android in the horror hit M3GAN—who shares a name with Fox—the character of Alice becomes self-aware, leading to chilling consequences.
The official synopsis for Subservience reveals that Fox’s character, Alice, is initially purchased by a struggling father, portrayed by Michele Morrone, to help manage household responsibilities after his wife falls ill. As Alice becomes increasingly self-aware, she begins to covet the affections of her new family, resorting to deadly measures to obtain them.
In addition to Fox and Morrone, the film stars Madeline Zima. Directed by S.K. Dale and written by Will Honley and April Maguire, Subservience promises a blend of psychological horror and sci-fi intrigue. New images from the film highlight both the beneficial and dangerous aspects of Alice’s character, providing a glimpse into the dual nature of her role.
Fox’s latest film venture follows her appearance in the action movie Expend4bles and her role in the FXX sitcom Dave. She has also recently contributed her voice and likeness to the Mortal Kombat 1 character Nitara.
