US actor Michael Madsen was arrested on Saturday on a charge of domestic battery, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The department reported that its deputies responded to a “family disturbance” call shortly after midnight in Malibu, California. The incident involved a woman who alleged that her husband, Madsen, “pushed her and locked her out of their residence.”
Madsen, known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill” films, was released from custody later that day after posting a $20,000 bond. The 66-year-old actor has not yet publicly addressed the matter.
The sheriff’s department stated that the investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court for further proceedings. No additional details were provided.
In response to the incident, a representative for Madsen issued a statement, noting that the situation stemmed from a disagreement between Madsen and his wife. The representative expressed hope for a positive resolution to the issue.
Michael Madsen and DeAnna Madsen have been married for 28 years. Madsen is widely recognized for his portrayal of Mr. Blonde in “Reservoir Dogs” and Budd in “Kill Bill: Volume 2.”
