SCREAMBOX is set to launch its latest supernatural slasher film, Creeping Death, on September 10. This exclusive streaming release delves into Halloween lore with a chilling twist.
The film follows Tim, whose once-favorite holiday has turned somber after his mother’s cancer diagnosis. Seeking solitude, Tim’s quiet evening is disrupted when his friends arrive uninvited, bringing with them a mysterious sack stolen from a local eccentric. This act of sacrilege awakens the Aos Si, a Celtic spirit known to roam the earth on Halloween. As the night unfolds, Tim and his friends must unite to survive the supernatural menace or face a dire fate.
Creeping Death marks the feature film debut of writer-director Matt Sampere, who expands on his short film of the same name. The cast includes Monique Parent, Alan Maxson, Delian Lincourt, Hunter Kohl, Ian Brown, Elise Rackemann, K Cody Hunt, Andy Horowitz, Jody Pucello, and Scott Lea.
The film pays homage to Halloween’s rich mythology, with Sampere producing alongside Jason Scott Goldberg (Glorious), Erika McGowan, Brenda Block, and Tyler Dane Sutton. Sampere, a lifelong fan of slasher films and Halloween traditions, drew inspiration from Celtic mythology and the Aos Si for his debut feature. “Creeping Death is my love letter to Halloween and its customs, blending tradition with a warning for those who trick,” Sampere explains.
Creeping Death joins SCREAMBOX’s roster of distinctive horror content, which includes titles such as Terrifier 2, RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop, Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls, We Are Zombies, Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story, The Outwaters, Living with Chucky, Creepypasta, Frogman, and Pennywise: The Story of IT.
