Attack on Titan: The Last Attack Unveils Trailer Ahead of Japan Release

by Barbara

The highly anticipated final compilation film of the anime series Attack on Titan, titled “Attack on Titan: The Last Attack,” has released its first trailer and key visual, building excitement for its theatrical premiere. Scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on November 11, 2024, the film promises an ultimate cinematic experience, featuring new scenes, updated visuals, and 5.1 surround sound.

The announcement was made via the official Attack on Titan anime X account. The 145-minute film, as directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, aims to deliver the culmination of the series in line with Hayashi’s original vision. “I’m thrilled to finally share this news,” Hayashi stated. “Watching the final episode in a theater, rather than on streaming services, fulfills a long-held dream for me. We’ve enhanced the visuals to ensure the best viewing experience.”

Following the conclusion of the anime last year, the franchise remains active with new ventures such as the Attack on Titan VR game, which topped the Meta Quest Store’s bestseller list, and the upcoming immersive theme park attraction, Attack on Titan: The Ride: Battle of Rebellion. Additionally, Kodansha will open its first U.S. pop-up store, Kodansha House, next month to celebrate the manga’s enduring impact.

Until an international release is announced, fans can continue to enjoy the series on Crunchyroll. The anime, known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, portrays humanity’s desperate struggle for survival against colossal, man-eating Titans and the heroic efforts of the Scouting Legion.
