by Barbara

The Killer’s Game, an action comedy featuring Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, and Ben Kingsley, will soon be available for digital streaming following its disappointing box office performance. Directed by J.J. Perry, known for Day Shift, the film opened in theaters on September 13, alongside a cast that includes Sofia Boutella, Scott Adkins, and Terry Crews.

The plot centers on Joe Flood (Bautista), a hitman who, upon receiving a terminal diagnosis, decides to take a hit out on himself. Complications arise when the assassins he hired target his ex-girlfriend, compelling him to fight back and reclaim her love.

Despite a production budget of under $30 million, The Killer’s Game has garnered only $4 million at the box office, with $3.8 million from domestic audiences. Critics have responded lukewarmly, giving the film a 43% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences have rated it more favorably at 81%. It is set for release on premium video on demand (PVOD) on October 4, with pre-orders available for $24.99. Digital rentals are expected to be priced at $19.99 for a 48-hour viewing period.
