Paramount Pictures has announced that the second trailer for Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated film “Gladiator II” will be released online tomorrow, accompanied by a 30-second teaser. The first trailer achieved an impressive 128 million views across social media platforms within its first 24 hours, setting a record for Paramount and surpassing the 75 million views garnered by “Top Gun: Maverick” in the same timeframe.
Despite its success, the initial trailer faced criticism for its music choice—Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “No Church in the Wild”—and its lengthy duration of over three minutes, issues that the upcoming trailer may address. The film, with a budget exceeding $300 million, has reportedly received positive feedback during test screenings. Ridley Scott has praised it, calling it “the best thing I’ve ever made… one of the best things.”
The cast includes Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington. “Gladiator II” is set to premiere in select international markets on November 15th, followed by a U.S. release on November 22nd.
