A new trailer has been released for the romantic drama thriller titled Poison, featuring Tim Roth and Trine Dyrholm as a former couple reuniting after years of separation due to a tragic event.
Described as a “poignant story about love and hidden truths,” the film promises to resonate with audiences long after the credits roll. The narrative centers around Lucas and Edith, who were once married but have been estranged for a decade following Lucas’s departure.
At Edith’s request, the two meet at the cemetery where their only child is buried. During their long wait, their conversation delves into their shared past while exploring the possibilities for their future.
Their intense reunion brings unresolved pain and resentment to the surface, yet it also rekindles memories of cherished intimacies and the love they once shared.
Directed by Luxembourgian actress and filmmaker Désirée Nosbusch, Poison is set for release by Transmission Films later this year. A U.S. release date has not yet been announced.
