Tense Action Thriller ‘Aftermath’ Set to Release This November

by Barbara

Voltage Pictures has released the official trailer for Aftermath, an action thriller survival film directed by Patrick Lussier. The film, also known as The Bridge in certain regions, is scheduled for release on November 1, 2024, and will be available on digital VOD platforms simultaneously.

Aftermath centers around former Army Ranger Eric Daniels, played by Dylan Sprouse, who finds himself trapped on Boston’s Tobin Bridge following a bomb explosion. The incident occurs during what should have been a routine afternoon drive, turning into a hostage crisis when a group of heavily armed ex-military contractors, led by an unstable war criminal portrayed by Mason Gooding, take control of the bridge. As the situation escalates and hostages are killed, Eric must rely on his military training and instincts to rescue his sister and the other captives.

The film also features Dichen Lachman as a high-profile prisoner, alongside Mark Irvingsen, Shahjehan Khan, Will Lyman, and Megan Stott in supporting roles. The screenplay is penned by Nathan Graham Davis, and the film is produced by Lucas Jarach, Brian Pitt, and Timothy C. Sullivan.

Aftermath is reminiscent of other recent thrillers, particularly another bridge-centric action film, Armor, starring Sylvester Stallone. However, the intense premise, combined with a large cast of characters and high-stakes action, suggests that Aftermath will deliver a gripping cinematic experience.
