Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to co-star alongside Chris Evans in the highly anticipated film “Red One.” This festive action-adventure film boasts an impressive cast, including J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Wesley Kimmel.
Directed by Jake Kasdan, known for his collaboration with Johnson on “Jumanji,” and written by Chris Morgan, who previously worked with Johnson on the “Fast and Furious” spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw,” “Red One” promises a blend of humor and excitement.
The film will have an exclusive global theatrical release on November 15, 2024, before streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It is produced by Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios.
The plot follows Santa Claus, code-named RED ONE, who is kidnapped, prompting the North Pole’s Head of Security, played by Johnson, to join forces with the world’s most notorious bounty hunter, portrayed by Evans. Together, they embark on a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.
