The black satirical sci-fi series “Black Mirror” Season 7 has released a teaser trailer and announced the cast. It will premiere on Netflix next year. Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti, Issa Rae, Harriet Walter, Tracee Ellis Ross, Cristin Milioti, Mykala Walker, Billy Magnussen, O-T Fagbenle, Paul G Raymond, Rosie McEwen, Jimmy Simpson, and Siena Kelly will star.
The show returned with its sixth season last June after a four-year hiatus and achieved record-high viewership. Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Ben Barnes, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton, Anjana Vasan, Rory Culkin, and others starred in the sixth season.
“Black Mirror” was launched in 2011. Created by Charlie Brooker, and Brooker and Annabel Jones serve as showrunners. It showcases the development of modern society, especially the side effects of the utilization of new technologies. Each episode is independent, usually set in an alternate reality or near future. With a dark and satirical tone and a sense of experimentation of varying degrees, it presents storylines that highlight themes related to the relationship between humans and technology, creating stories about “the way we live now—and the way we might be living in 10 minutes if we’re stupid.”
