Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe will star in the film adaptation of the comic of the same name “A Hundred Nights of Hero.” Charli XCX also appears. Previously, it was also revealed that Nicholas Galitzine has joined the cast.
The film is based on the 2016 comic by Isabel Greenberg – telling a feminist fairy tale and being a new adaptation of “One Thousand and One Nights.” It focuses on two women in love, Cherry and Hero: Cherry is married to the evil man Jerome. Jerome makes a bet with his friend, the lecherous villain Manfred, to see if Manfred can seduce Cherry within 100 nights. If Manfred succeeds, Jerome will give Cherry to him. Cherry, who has no interest in this, and her lover Hero devise a plan: During those 100 nights, Hero will tell Manfred some captivating stories to distract him from his seduction plan.
The film’s plot description is: A remote castle welcomes a charming guest. As a result, the fragile balance between the negligent husband, the naive bride Cherry, and the loyal maid Hero is disrupted.
Julia Jackman (“Sing Street”) is directing. Erebus Pictures is producing. Filming is planned to start this month. Corrin plays Hero, Monroe plays Cherry, and Galitzine plays Manfred.
