Colin Farrell offers insights into The Penguin’s presence in the upcoming The Batman – Part II. The details hint at an interesting role for the character.
As Matt Reeves expands The Batman universe, Colin Farrell’s The Penguin (Oz Cobb) has grown in power. In an interview, Farrell shared details about his involvement in The Batman – Part II despite not having read the script yet.
Farrell is signed up for three Batman films. He was told he’ll have five or six scenes in the sequel. While he doesn’t know the plot details, this indicates The Penguin will likely have a significant role. Given how the character developed in the TV show, it’ll be fascinating to see him face Batman again and potentially interact with new villains.
It seems the sequel will explore the aftermath of The Penguin’s spinoff show. Time will tell if The Penguin becomes the primary antagonist in The Batman – Part II or the third sequel. Once principal photography starts in 2025, a clearer picture of The Penguin’s role in the 2026 installment should emerge.
