A newly revealed image from “Jurassic World Rebirth” offers a fresh glimpse of Scarlett Johansson’s character, Zora Bennett. Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, the seventh film in the franchise is set five years after “Jurassic World Dominion”. It follows a team on a mission to obtain genetic material from huge dinosaurs, only to get stranded on an island with a shocking secret.
The image shows Johansson’s Zora wading through tall grass, armed with a tranquilizer gun. As part of Empire’s 2025 Preview, Edwards teased a return to the Spielbergian style, with exciting set-piece scenarios and action moments. He also talked about Johansson’s character, who, after leaving the military, is on a quest for meaning and faces ethical dilemmas regarding the cloning and genetic engineering work they’re doing.
Zora Bennett, like the morally complex characters from the franchise’s past, seems set to carry “Jurassic World Rebirth” forward while evoking its origins.
