An original Ghostbusters star, Dan Aykroyd, has given a blunt reply about returning for future movies following the underwhelming Frozen Empire, which scored 42% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Aykroyd doesn’t foresee himself making another appearance as he believes the franchise will progress with its new cast and ideas.

The Spenglers have taken over the Ghostbusters mantle, and future installments could focus on further developing them. Aykroyd’s stance may be good for the franchise’s longevity, helping to establish the new generation and find its footing without relying too much on the original crew.
