The highly anticipated season 3 of HBO’s hit teen drama “Euphoria” starring Zendaya has finally gotten a release window. Created and written by Sam Levinson, the show, based on an Israeli miniseries, follows Rue Bennett, a teen drug addict. Despite its success, season 3 has seen delays as Levinson worked on scripts and the cast took on other projects. Filming is set to begin in January.
It reports that Warner Bros. Discovery exec JB Perrette announced at a conference that “Euphoria” season 3 will premiere in 2026, part of HBO’s upcoming slate.
What this means for season 3 is that it may cover new ground. With three years since season 2’s debut and the cast becoming more well-known, a time-jump to follow the characters as young adults seems likely. The creative team has 2025 to refine episodes with filming starting next month.
With a four-year gap between seasons, “Euphoria” needs to reassert its cultural relevance. A more adult tone in season 3 could boost interest, though the long hiatus risks losing viewers. Still, this update shows the show has a path forward after a period of uncertainty.
