New Featurette for ‘Ballerina’ Reveals High-Octane Action

by Barbara Miller

A new featurette for From the World of John Wick: Ballerina was unveiled at CCXP, offering a glimpse into the action-packed spinoff slated for a June 6, 2025, release. Directed by Len Wiseman, the film stars Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a ballerina turned assassin seeking revenge for her father’s death. Set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, the featurette highlights de Armas’ rigorous combat and choreography training, with a particular focus on a flamethrower sequence involving over 100 casualties.

While the film maintains the franchise’s trademark high-octane action, Ballerina promises to offer a fresh perspective on the assassin world. De Armas’ character, Eve, is not just a “female John Wick,” but a unique figure with her own compelling narrative arc. The featurette also teases returning characters, tying the spinoff to the broader John Wick saga.
