Alex Shaffman has made his directorial debut and also crafted the first poster for the comedy – thriller “Death of a Unicorn”. The movie stars the well – loved Paul Rudd, the rising star Jenna Ortega, along with Richard E. Grant, Will Poulter, and Anthony Carrigan.
The plot of the movie centers around Elliot (played by Paul Rudd) and his daughter Ridley (Jenna Ortega). During a weekend trip, they encounter the family of a pharmaceutical giant. By chance, they stumble upon a unicorn. Scientists from the pharmaceutical company then discover that the unicorn’s flesh can be used to make medicine and, more importantly, its horn has supernatural healing powers. This discovery leads the boss’s family to have some rather sinister ideas regarding the unicorn.
With such an interesting and somewhat dark – humored premise, fans of the stars and of the comedy – thriller genre have something to look forward to. Mark your calendars as “Death of a Unicorn” is set to be released in North America in spring 2025.
