Martin Clunes is taking on a new dramatic role in ITV’s gripping crime drama Out There, premiered on January 19, 2025, at 9 PM on ITV1. Clunes plays Nathan Williams, a Welsh farmer dealing with the death of his wife, while facing the challenges of rural drug dealing threatening his family and community.
The show explores the alarming rise of County Lines drug dealing in the countryside, a crime wave led by urban gangs targeting rural areas. Nathan, a grieving father to teenager Johnny (Louis Ashbourne Serkis), is forced to protect his farm and his son from these criminal forces.
The series, written by Ed Whitmore and directed by Marc Evans, aired over six episodes, each lasting around 60 minutes. All episodes was available for streaming on ITVX.
