Warner Bros. Animation’s first fully-animated, feature-length Looney Tunes film, “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie,” is set to hit theaters on March 14, courtesy of Ketchup Entertainment.
The upcoming buddy comedy adventure stars two iconic characters, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, as they take on the mission of saving the world from an alien threat. The film’s plot unfolds when the duo’s mischievous antics at a local bubble gum factory inadvertently uncover a mind control conspiracy orchestrated by extraterrestrials. With the fate of the planet hanging in the balance, Porky and Daffy embark on a perilous journey, all while trying to keep their wits intact—and their partnership from driving them “totally looney.”
Directed by Peter Browngardt, the creator of Looney Tunes Cartoons, this film marks his feature directorial debut. The voice cast is led by Eric Bauza, voicing both Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, with support from Candi Milo, Peter MacNicol, Wayne Knight, Laraine Newman, and Fred Tatasciore.
The screenplay was crafted through a collaborative effort by Browngardt and a team of writers, including Darrick Bachman, Kevin Costello, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, Alex Kirwan, Ryan Kramer, Jason Reicher, Michael Ruocco, Johnny Ryan, and Eddie Trigueros.
Fans of the beloved animated duo can look forward to a thrilling and humorous adventure this spring as The Day the Earth Blew Up brings new life to the classic Looney Tunes characters.
