Disney has unveiled the trailer for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip, an upcoming family adventure comedy set to stream exclusively on Disney+ starting March 28. The film promises to deliver laughs, mishaps, and heartwarming moments for viewers of all ages.
The movie follows Alexander Garcia, a boy who believes that he has the worst luck in the world. When his mother, Val, plans a family trip to Mexico City in a luxury RV as part of her travel writing job, Alexander is certain it will be a disaster. Despite his apprehension, the entire family—including his dad Frank, teenage sister Mia, Grandma Lidia, and Grandpa Gil—embark on the journey, only to find everything going awry. Their misfortunes seem linked to an ancient, cursed idol, and the family must unite to return it to its rightful place.
Directed by Marvin Lemus, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip is a standalone sequel to the 2014 comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, which starred Steve Carell. The screenplay is written by Matt Lopez, and the film features an ensemble cast including Eva Longoria, Jesse Garcia, Paulina Chávez, Rose Portillo, Thom Nemer, Cheech Marin, Cristo Fernández, Harvey Guillén, Mabel Cadena, and Michelle Buteau.
Produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen, and Lisa Henson, with Longoria, Emily Morris, and Shelly Strong serving as executive producers, this film aims to continue the comedic legacy of the Alexander franchise while introducing new adventures for the Garcia family.
