20th Century Studios has released a new 60-second trailer for The Amateur, a tense revenge thriller directed by James Hawes, known for his work on the spy series Slow Horses. The film, set to hit theaters on April 11, 2025, follows the story of Charles Heller (Rami Malek), a CIA cryptographer, whose life is shattered after a terrorist attack in London claims his wife.
When his superiors refuse to pursue the perpetrators due to conflicting priorities, Heller takes matters into his own hands, using his expertise in intelligence and cryptography to track down the terrorists responsible for his wife’s death. As Heller embarks on a dangerous journey to exact revenge, he must outwit both the terrorists and his own agency.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Rachel Brosnahan, Caitríona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, Michael Stuhlbarg, Holt McCallany, and Laurence Fishburne. With Malek’s intense portrayal of a man seeking vengeance, The Amateur promises to deliver a thrilling ride of suspense and action.
