The final trailer for Novocaine, a high-octane action-comedy led by The Boys star Jack Quaid, has arrived ahead of its highly anticipated release. The film, which is titled Novocaine No Pain in Australia, has already garnered significant attention, with early reactions proving favorable.
Clocking in at just over one minute, the latest trailer plunges viewers into the chaos and absurdity at the heart of the film. Alongside showcasing the wild action, the trailer also highlights the positive early reviews, with the movie currently holding an impressive 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In Novocaine, Quaid plays Nate, an ordinary man with an extraordinary condition: he is unable to feel pain. This rare affliction unexpectedly transforms him into an unlikely action hero when his love interest, portrayed by Amber Midthunder (Prey), is kidnapped. Nate embarks on a violent and unpredictable rescue mission, balancing mayhem with comedy. As the trailer suggests, viewers can expect a barrage of action-packed sequences, including plenty of physical mishaps—though, as Nate can’t feel pain, they don’t slow him down.
The film also stars Ray Nicholson (Smile 2), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Betty Gabriel (Get Out), and Matt Walsh (Veep). Directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, known for their work on Body, Villains, and Significant Others, the film’s screenplay was penned by Lars Jacobson (Day of the Dead: Bloodline).
Novocaine is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 28th, with a release in Australia following on April 3rd.
