Fans React to Extended Wait for GTA 6 Trailer 2
The wait for the second official trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) has reached a boiling point. After the release of the first trailer in December 2023, fans have been eagerly awaiting the next glimpse into the world of Vice City. However, with little to no updates since then, frustration is mounting within the GTA community.
The first trailer for GTA 6 introduced players to the game’s dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, and hinted at the chaotic adventures they will face in the returning Vice City. Fans got a taste of the open-world environment, complete with bikinis, cars, and alligators. Despite this, the absence of new content has left many fans yearning for more.
With the game set for release in Fall 2025, many assumed the second trailer would be released by now. However, after months of rumors and leaks, it’s nowhere to be found. This prolonged silence has led to some unsettling realizations among fans.
One user on Reddit’s r/GTA6 wrote, “GTA 6 trailer was revealed 500 days ago” alongside a broken heart emoji. “Putting it that way is messing with my mind,” they added. Others quickly joined the conversation, expressing disbelief at the extended period without any updates. “I can’t believe how long it’s been with radio silence,” one comment reads.
As of now, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not confirmed the exact release date for either the second trailer or the game itself, leaving fans in a state of eager anticipation.
Fans Speculate on GTA 6 Trailer Release Date
Meanwhile, the speculation around the release date of the second GTA 6 trailer continues to swirl. A cryptic post on the r/GTA6 subreddit raised the hopes of many when it stated, “7 days from now. Mark my words.” While this post had fans buzzing, it quickly became apparent that the date in question was less significant than the milestone it represented—500 days since the first trailer was dropped.
Despite the flurry of fan theories, including some regarding the phases of the moon, there’s no concrete evidence to suggest that the trailer will be released on a specific day. Theories have ranged from the coincidence of a “waning gibbous” moon to speculations about certain dates being linked to GTA 6‘s marketing strategy.
In the end, it appears that Rockstar Games is content with keeping fans on edge. Some fans, however, are growing impatient. One user on Reddit commented, “At this point, I don’t need trailer 2, just give me the game.”
GTA 6 Trailer 2 Delayed by Mafia Release
The second GTA 6 trailer may not drop as soon as fans hoped, especially after a recent leak connected the timing of its release to the marketing period for Mafia: The Old Country.
GTA 6 fans have been hoping for a second trailer soon, but speculation suggests that the marketing push for Mafia, which is owned by Take-Two Interactive but developed by a different studio, could push back GTA 6’s trailer release until the summer. According to some fans, if GTA 6 releases in October, the second trailer might not come out until July or August to avoid clashing with Mafia‘s promotion period.
One Reddit user explained, “If GTA VI will also have three months to market, that means July or August will start marketing if the game releases in October or November.” However, not everyone agrees with this theory, with some insisting that GTA 6 is too big to worry about a clash with other games.
Though Rockstar has been unpredictable in the past, it remains unclear when the trailer will drop. Fans continue to wait and speculate, but one thing is certain—excitement for the upcoming game is building.
Rockstar Responds to Fans’ Growing Frustration
In the meantime, Rockstar Games has taken a lighter approach to GTA 6 hype, recently releasing a playful trailer for GTA Online to coincide with April 20, a day of significance to many fans. The trailer featured a humorous scene of a character getting stoned, accompanied by the beloved dog Chop. While the trailer wasn’t directly related to any new content or updates for GTA Online, it caused a stir among fans.
Some players were less than thrilled, posting comments expressing their frustration over the lack of news about GTA 6. “We can’t enjoy anything before GTA 6 has a release date and pre-order,” one user commented. Another replied, “Maybe if everyone reports it, it will get taken down.”
Despite the playful nature of the trailer, it’s clear that GTA 6 fans are growing tired of waiting for more substantial updates. As Rockstar continues to tease fans, only time will tell when the second trailer will arrive, and whether it will live up to the massive expectations surrounding it.
