by Barbara

A new trailer for the stop-motion animated film Junk World has just been released, offering a deeper look into the strange world created by Takahide Hori. This film is a sequel to his 2017 film Junk Head, which gained significant attention for its innovative use of stop-motion animation and its depiction of a bizarre, underground world.

Junk World is set 1042 years before the events of its predecessor. The film invites audiences to explore a world where humanoid clones, called Mulligans, live beneath the Earth’s surface. These creations were originally made to serve humanity, but they eventually rebelled, resulting in a complex underground society ruled by the Mulligans. The film continues to explore this dystopian setting, where humanity and Mulligans face off against one another.
