John Cena and Simu Liu, known for their roles as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster “Barbie,” join forces once again onscreen in the upcoming comedy “Jackpot!” Directed by Paul Feig and also starring Awkwafina, the film centers around a high-stakes “Grand Lottery” in California’s near future, where survival means outwitting jackpot hunters eager to claim a multibillion-dollar prize.
Awkwafina stars as Katie Kim, who unwittingly becomes the lottery winner after relocating to Los Angeles. Teaming up with Noel Cassidy (John Cena), an amateur lottery-protection agent, Katie navigates a perilous game against ruthless pursuers, including Noel’s rival Louis Lewis (Simu Liu).
