After years of anticipation, Mahershala Ali is set to wield Blade’s iconic fangs. Marvel Studios’ Blade film will slated to commence production on November 1st.
With Ali and Mia Goth confirmed, and a writer on board, the project appears poised to move forward after a prolonged pre-production phase. Previously, several writers, including Michael Green, Beau DeMayo, Nic Pizzolatto, Stacy Osei-Kuffour, and Michael Starrbury, were involved before Eric Pearson took the reins for the latest draft.
The director’s chair remains vacant following Bassam Tariq and Yann Demange’s departures. Rumors swirl around potential candidates, with Jordan Peele notably meeting with Marvel Studios. Blade is currently set for release on November 7th, 2025.
