Danny Trejo, known for his roles in films like “Machete,” was involved in a confrontation during the Sunland-Tujunga Independence Day Parade. The incident began when a water balloon was thrown at the vintage convertible Trejo was riding in.
Video footage shared on social media captured the 80-year-old actor confronting a man along the parade route, believed to be the person responsible for the water balloon incident. In the video, Trejo appears to throw a punch at the man, who retaliates with a swing that misses, leading to a brief scuffle resulting in Trejo falling down.
Following this, the man involved in the scuffle reportedly punched another individual, causing them to fall to the ground. Bystanders quickly intervened to de-escalate the situation amidst a larger scuffle that ensued.
During the commotion, Trejo was seen grabbing a foldable chair, although it was not clear from the footage what happened next with the chair.
Eyewitness has reached out to Trejo’s representatives for comment on the incident.
Trejo, renowned for his portrayal of tough characters and villains in Hollywood, notably as Machete in films directed by Robert Rodriguez, has also ventured into the food business in recent years.
