Los Angeles-based folk-rock band Dawes, led by the talented Goldsmith brothers Taylor and Griffin, continues to shape the contemporary resurgence of the Laurel Canyon sound since their inception in 2009. Known for their distinctive blend of introspective lyricism and musical craftsmanship, Dawes recently captivated audiences with their 2022 album “Misadventures of Doomscroller,” characterized by its rich, jam-infused melodies.
Adding to their prolific output, Dawes has unveiled the evocative single “This Is Life,” featuring collaborations with Winnetka Bowling League and Medium Build, alongside celebrating the 10th anniversary reissue of their beloved LP “Stories Don’t End.”
Fans in the Tahoe region eagerly anticipate Dawes’ return after a hiatus since 2017. The band is set to perform on July 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada, promising an evening of soulful melodies and heartfelt performances.
