Rock The Bowl 2024 to Feature International Stars and Local Legends

by Barbara

Following a triumphant debut last year, Rock The Bowl is set to return on December 29, 2024, with an impressive lineup that includes both international and New Zealand music icons. The event will take place at The Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth, with tickets going on sale to the public at 7 p.m. today.

Headlining this year’s festival is the renowned ska-punk band Sublime with Rome, whose performance was rescheduled from last year. This appearance is part of the band’s final world tour, making it a must-see for fans. The New Zealand tour includes a series of shows marking the end of their global journey.

The Rock The Bowl lineup also boasts significant New Zealand talent. Hip-hop group Home Brew will return to the Bowl following the success of their 2023 album, RUN IT BACK, and a sold-out nationwide tour. Synth-pop artist Ladyhawke, known for hits like ‘My Delirium’ and ‘Paris Is Burning,’ will also perform. Elemeno P, a crowd favorite, is set to deliver an exhilarating set.

This year’s Rock The Bowl follows a successful inaugural event that featured Katchafire, Ocean Alley, and Coterie, attracting over 6,000 attendees.

Sublime with Rome expressed excitement about returning to New Zealand as part of their farewell tour. “We cannot wait to come down under and play our final shows with Sublime with Rome this summer. New Zealand will officially be our last tour, so make sure you come out and sing with us one last time,” said Rome.

Following Rock The Bowl, Sublime with Rome will continue their tour with performances at Coroglen near Whitianga on December 30, followed by Brew Year’s Eve at Brewtown in Upper Hutt on December 31. They will ring in the new year with concerts at Black Barn in Havelock North on January 2 and Bay Park Arena in Mount Maunganui on January 3, with Elemeno P supporting both shows.
