The 31-year-old South Korean singer and dancer will bring his “Ephemeral Gaze” world tour to Selangor on September 7, 2024. The concert will take place at the Malawati Indoor Stadium in Shah Alam.
Taemin, renowned for his exceptional dance skills, has previously visited Malaysia with Shinee during the Disk Awards in 2013 and as a special guest performer at the Formula One Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix in 2015. This upcoming performance will be his first solo concert in Malaysia, providing fans with an exciting opportunity to experience his talents up close.
Fans of Taemin, known as TAEmates and members of the official fan club run by Fromm, are entitled to early bird tickets. Pre-sale for these tickets will commence on August 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. and will conclude before midnight. General ticket sales will follow on August 5, 2024, starting at 11 a.m.
Taemin, who began his career with Shinee at the age of 14, embarked on his solo journey a decade ago. His debut single “Danger” set the stage for a series of hit songs, including “Move,” “Famous,” and “Criminal,” all of which showcase his innovative dance moves and distinctive music videos. Taemin’s dance practice videos are also highly acclaimed by fans for their mesmerizing quality.
The inspiration for Taemin’s dancing came from watching Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” a moment he cited in a past interview as pivotal in his decision to pursue dance.
For this concert, Taemin is expected to perform new tracks from his upcoming album, set to be released in August 2024.
