Steel Wool Studios has unveiled their latest project in the acclaimed Five Nights at Freddy’s series with “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic.” The announcement was made today as part of the ongoing 10th anniversary celebration of the franchise. A brief teaser trailer accompanied the announcement, hinting at a 2025 date which may signify either a release date or a milestone for further information.
This revelation forms part of a weeklong series of announcements curated by series creator Scott Cawthon. Each day has brought significant updates, including an exclusive interview with Cawthon and the introduction of a new myPOPGOES game among other surprises.
Described by developers as a “brand new original nightmare in the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe,” Secret of the Mimic marks the fourth installment developed by Steel Wool Studios. The game’s tagline, “to see the future sometimes you need to understand the past,” suggests a narrative that intertwines past and future elements within the franchise.
