Fans of Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang in Singapore will have to wait longer for her highly anticipated performance. On August 7, BT Mediaspace, the organizer of Yang’s “Like A Star” concert tour in Singapore and Malaysia, announced the cancellation of the Singapore show, originally scheduled for August 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The cancellation was attributed to “unforeseen circumstances.” BT Mediaspace has assured ticket holders that full refunds will be processed within one to two billing cycles. Despite the cancellation, the organizer hinted at a possible postponement, stating that “information regarding a new date and venue will be provided shortly,” leading to speculation among fans that the concert may be rescheduled rather than entirely cancelled.
Yang’s Singapore appearance was highly anticipated as it marked her return after a five-year hiatus. Her “Like A Star” world tour, which began in 2020, is named after a song penned and produced by her husband, singer-songwriter Li Ronghao, and is intended to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her music career.
