Coal Chamber Postpones Tour Following Vocalist’s Medical Emergency

by Barbara

Coal Chamber, the influential nu-metal band, has announced the postponement of their remaining 2024 tour dates due to a serious medical issue affecting lead vocalist Dez Fafara. The news was shared on the band’s Instagram page on Friday.

Fafara described the alarming incident, revealing he experienced severe health complications after a period of intense physical activity and preparation for the tour. “I was running 6 miles daily and rehearsing two hours each day,” he wrote. “But on Saturday morning, I collapsed while climbing the stairs, and my wife had to revive me.” He noted that his vitals were dangerously elevated and that he was subsequently taken to the hospital, where he underwent extensive testing.

Following his doctor’s advice, Fafara is now on bed rest and will undergo further scans to determine the extent of his condition. As a result, the band’s tour, which was set to resume in March 2025, has been postponed.
