Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour has achieved the ultimate milestone of becoming the highest-grossing rock tour of all time. The tour has earned $945.7 million and sold 8.8 million tickets since its inception in March 2022. This record-breaking tour surpasses the previous highest-grossing tour, Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which grossed $939.1 million.
Coldplay still has 21 shows left on their schedule, potentially pushing their total ticket sales close to 10 million. The tour’s success outstrips U2’s U2 360 Tour, which grossed $736.4 million, and follows behind tours by the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Roger Waters.
