West Virginia Comedy Film “Ambrosia!” Set for September Premiere

by Barbara

The producers of “Ambrosia!,” a comedy film produced in West Virginia, have announced that the movie will debut in September, with plans for a series of screenings across the state and beyond. The film will also be made available on global streaming platforms, though specific details are still being finalized, according to producer Saja Montague.

“We’ve received numerous inquiries from community members about digital streaming options,” Montague said. “However, most film festivals prefer films that are not yet available for streaming, so we need to finalize these arrangements later.”

The film’s production companies, Butter Chicken Pictures and Mtn. Craft Studios, have scheduled a public premiere for September 27 in Beckley, where much of the film was shot. Subsequently, screenings will take place in theaters throughout West Virginia and the surrounding regions.

Montague explained, “We are coordinating with various theaters to schedule showings, but the process is complex due to the need for different agreements with each venue. This couldn’t be fully addressed until the film was completed.”
