Nearly three months after its release, Inside Out 2 continues to make waves in the film industry with its impressive box office performance. The animated sequel has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first animated film to surpass $1 billion in international revenue, excluding the U.S. market.
As of August 26, 2024, the film, produced by Disney and Pixar and directed by Kelsey Mann, has accumulated a total of $1.65 billion globally. This figure includes $1.2 billion from international markets and $648 million from domestic ticket sales.
Since its debut on June 19, 2024, Inside Out 2 has consistently broken records. On July 24, it surpassed Frozen II to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
With its box office run expected to conclude on September 13, 2024, three months after its premiere, Inside Out 2 is projected to reach $1.7 billion in total revenue.
