Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Blade, scheduled for release on November 7, 2025, remains on track despite ongoing production issues and previous delays. Since its announcement at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, Blade has faced numerous hurdles, including changes in directors and multiple rescheduled start dates.
In late 2023, the film was undergoing significant reworking, leaving fans concerned about its future. However, during a recent press tour for Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Marvel Studios Head of Streaming Brad Winderbaum reassured that the project is still active. Winderbaum emphasized that the horror elements in Blade will differ from those in other MCU projects, such as Agatha and Marvel Zombies, reflecting the unique vision of each filmmaker.
Rumors of Mahershala Ali potentially exiting the project have circulated, but Marvel remains committed to bringing a fresh take on horror to the MCU. With the film’s release less than three years away, it will need to overcome significant production challenges to meet its scheduled debut.
