Linkin Park has unveiled a surprise performance scheduled for September 11, 2024, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. The announcement follows the rock band’s reveal of its new lead singer, Emily Armstrong, during a live-streamed concert event on Thursday. Armstrong, previously with Dead Sara, replaces Chester Bennington, who passed away in 2017.
The band also introduced drummer Colin Brittain as a new member, alongside long-standing members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn. Shinoda praised Armstrong and Brittain as “world-class talents,” expressing excitement about their new music and dynamic.
Along with the performance announcement, Linkin Park released a new single and music video, and revealed plans for a six-show world tour titled “From Zero World Tour,” which includes stops in New York City, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogota. The tour will promote their upcoming album, “From Zero,” set for release on November 15, 2024.
Shinoda explained that the album title reflects the band’s beginnings and their current journey, combining their signature sound with new elements. Pre-orders for the album and tickets for the tour are available on Linkin Park’s website, with general ticket sales starting Saturday.
