Nonetheless, Olsen stated, “If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”
Olsen first introduced Wanda Maximoff in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in 2014 and continued her portrayal in subsequent MCU films, including “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015), “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018), and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019). Her character gained significant popularity, especially following the success of the Disney+ series “WandaVision” (2021). The show, which explored Wanda’s emotional turmoil and grief through a reality inspired by classic TV sitcoms, was well-received by audiences.
In 2022, Olsen reprised her role in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” where Wanda took on a darker role as the main antagonist. Despite her decade-long association with the character, Olsen has expressed a desire to explore diverse roles. In 2023, she revealed her intention to expand her acting repertoire beyond Marvel projects, seeking a variety of roles to ensure a long-lasting career.
While Olsen is enthusiastic about exploring new opportunities, she remains fond of the Scarlet Witch and is open to returning to the MCU, provided that her return is handled with thoughtful storytelling.
