In a curious contrast to Portland’s current transition from a September heatwave to autumn weather, Southwest Park Avenue and Madison Street were transformed into a winter wonderland on Tuesday, September 10. A film crew adorned the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Christmas decorations, including bunting and street lights, as part of the production for the Amazon MGM Studios series “Criminal.”
The series, based on the acclaimed Image Comics graphic novel by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, stars Emilia Clarke, known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in “Game of Thrones.” Clarke will portray Mallory, a professional thief involved with a character played by Gus Halper. The cast also features Adria Arjona, Charlie Hunnam, and Richard Jenkins.
