TVLine has unveiled an exclusive first look at the trailer for the eagerly awaited spinoff series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, set to premiere on Thursday, October 17, at 8/7c on CBS. The new show, a spin-off from the popular series Young Sheldon, follows the journey of Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they navigate the complexities of raising a young family in Texas while facing the trials of adulthood, parenting, and marriage.
The premiere episode, titled “The 6:10 to Lubbock,” portrays Georgie and Mandy’s frustration with staying at Mandy’s parents’ home, portrayed by Young Sheldon alums Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones. A significant family conflict, notably involving Mandy’s mother Audrey’s dissatisfaction with her son-in-law, is featured prominently in the trailer.
In contrast to Young Sheldon, which adopted a single-camera format, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will return to a multi-camera setup and be filmed before a live studio audience, reminiscent of The Big Bang Theory. The spinoff is developed by Young Sheldon co-creators Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, along with The Big Bang Theory alumnus Steve Holland.
The cast includes Dougie Baldwin as Mandy’s brother Connor and Jessie Prez as tire store employee Ruben. Zoe Perry, who plays Mary Cooper, and Annie Potts, known as Meemaw, will make guest appearances in the pilot episode, while Raegan Revord (Missy) will feature in the second episode.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage debuts on CBS on October 17 at 8/7c and will be available for streaming on Paramount+ for both live and on-demand viewing for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers, and on-demand the following day for Paramount+ Essential subscribers.
