Popular Sambalpuri singer Ruksana Bano passed away on Wednesday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar, following a 15-day struggle for her life. The singer’s death has raised serious allegations from her family, who claim she was a victim of slow poisoning, allegedly at the hands of another Sambalpuri artist.
While these accusations remain unverified, some suggest that Ruksana may have been suffering from Scrub Typhus, a disease transmitted by mites.
Sources indicate that Ruksana fell ill while shooting for a song 15 days prior. She was initially admitted to a hospital in Bhawanipatna on August 27 for preliminary treatment. As her health deteriorated, she was referred to Bolangir Bhima Bhoi Medical College and subsequently transferred to a private hospital in Bargarh. Due to a lack of improvement, she was then moved to AIIMS in Bhubaneswar, where she ultimately succumbed to her illness.
As of now, no official comments have been made by AIIMS authorities regarding the circumstances surrounding her death. The situation continues to unfold as fans and family mourn the loss of a beloved artist.
