Zoe Saldana reprises her role in the highly anticipated second season of Paramount+’s espionage thriller, “Lioness.” The newly released trailer reveals the recruitment of a new operative who must be convinced that their actions serve the national interest. Alongside Saldana, the cast features returning talents such as Laysla De Oliveira, Emmy nominee Michael Kelly, Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman, as well as Dave Annable and Jill Wagner.
In this season, the CIA’s battle against terrorism intensifies, prompting Joe (Saldana), Kaitlyn (Kidman), and Byron (Kelly) to enlist a fresh operative to tackle an emerging threat. As tensions rise, Joe faces the significant personal sacrifices she has made while leading the Lioness program. Created by Taylor Sheridan, known for “Yellowstone,” the series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, with Sheridan serving as executive producer alongside Kidman and others. Season two premieres on October 27, 2024, with the first two episodes available for streaming, followed by weekly releases of the remaining six episodes.
