Shogun unfolds the story of two ambitious men from disparate worlds: John Blackthorne, an adventurous English sailor shipwrecked in Japan, and Lord Toranaga, a powerful Daimyo navigating perilous political rivalries. Complementing their journey is Lady Mariko, a woman with vital skills yet tarnished by her family’s dishonor, striving to prove her loyalty and worth.
Akaku Takashi, ADR Mixer at Syn, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “It was so surprising and such an amazing experience for me. I was thrilled to share the moment with Nick and my wife, who have supported me for a long time. Hiroyuki Sanada’s passion for creating a ‘REAL’ Samurai drama truly impressed me, and I am honored to be part of this team—a precious highlight in my career.”
Nick Wood, Founder and CEO of Syn, shared his pride in the accomplishment, saying, “Attending the Emmy awards with Akaku and his wife was wonderful, and sitting with the Shogun team made it even more thrilling. This recognition for Akaku and the Syn team is an incredible achievement.”
Chris Thorp, Founder of m25, added, “It’s a true honor to feature such high-caliber work and talent on the m25 network. I have known Nick and his Syn team for many years, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
Chloe Ko, Executive Producer at m25, remarked, “This remarkable achievement will not go unnoticed in Korea. I look forward to sharing Syn with more contacts in Seoul.”
