Studio Lot Inc. and Road 7 Films are set to launch their highly anticipated TV series, “SPILLED PAINT,” on major streaming platforms this Fall 2024.
Inspired by true events, “SPILLED PAINT” immerses viewers in the dark and secretive realm of art forgery, exploring the perilous world of deception. The series follows Ramirez Ponce, a menacing figure who rules the underground art scene, coercing talented artists into producing counterfeit masterpieces. These forgeries are sold to unsuspecting buyers, generating vast wealth for Ponce, while the artists face grim fates as they are murdered to keep the operation under wraps. The tension escalates when a renowned artist, long presumed dead, reemerges, threatening to expose the entire scheme.
“We are incredibly proud to bring ‘SPILLED PAINT’ to our viewers,” said Beth Wheatley, a two-time Daytime Emmy-nominated producer and executive producer of the series. “This show not only delivers intense drama and mystery but also offers a thought-provoking examination of the extremes people will reach for power and wealth. We believe it will engage audiences from start to finish.”
The cast features Brandon Gibson (Lessons in Chemistry, Cobra Kai) as Ramirez Ponce, alongside Justine Renee (Lifetime Movie Network, ABC) as Helena Natale. The ensemble also includes Daytime Emmy-nominated Anthony Montgomery (General Hospital, Star Trek: Enterprise), Jensen Atwood (Noah’s Arc), and Steven Rho (Paramount+ The Game) as Daniel Montrose. The intricate narrative, developed by Gibson and Jon Kohan, promises a suspenseful experience for viewers.
Set in the vibrant backdrop of Miami, “SPILLED PAINT” combines stunning visuals with a deep psychological exploration of ambition, power, betrayal, and survival. As the story unfolds, the reemergence of the artist ignites a thrilling cat-and-mouse game, juxtaposing creativity against corruption.
