The Philadelphia Film Society is gearing up for the 33rd Annual Philadelphia Film Festival, set to begin on October 17th. This 11-day celebration promises a cinematic feast for film enthusiasts, offering the chance to view over 50 films. Attendees can purchase an all-access badge to experience the full slate of movies.
Screenings will take place in person at various PFS venues, including the Philadelphia Film Center, PFS Bourse Theater, and PFS East.
J. Andrew Greenblatt, CEO and Executive Director of the Philadelphia Film Society, expressed his excitement about bringing top films from around the globe to the city. “September 5,” a film directed by Tim Fehlbaum, will open the festival.
The festival’s centerpiece presentations will feature highly anticipated films, including Conclave, September 5, and Unstoppable. The event will conclude at the Philadelphia Film Center with the screening of Blitz, a World War II drama directed by Steve McQueen.
Michael Lerman, Artistic Director and Senior Director of Programming, shared his enthusiasm for the diverse lineup, ensuring that there will be something for everyone at this year’s festival.
